Q Your assignment is to research educational fishing sites and bring back to our discussion forum the information you found regarding tips for young people who want to learn to fish. Be sure to post your site as well as the pertinent information you found that you want to share. This is a class activity which is worth 5 points. To earn your 5 points you need to post and cite your source. BTW, don't post the first thing that comes up on google. Since you can't see any one else's posts, if everyone posts the first topic that comes up, we won't have any diversity in topics. Everyone must post findings and responses by Sunday evening of the chapter's week. Tell us why you found that learning technique to be useful. If you have any personal fishing experience, please feel free to share that as well. Fishing is not a hobby for the faint of heart! Enjoy surfing and fishing!

The website I found to be most informational was Pure Fishing- "Teach your Kids to Fish in 10 Easy Steps". When I first read the part that said "10 Steps" I thought that seemed a little off, because although I don't have a lot of fishing experience, I thought it took a lot more than 10 steps! I really liked that one of the 10 steps was safety, and they stressed the importance of life jackets and how the hooks should only be held by an adult. I found the hook part very important because in Kindergarten, we took a trip to a Petting Zoo that also allowed the kids to fish in the small man-made lake.
